Leveled Beauty

Enliven your wedding or bridal shower with an arrangement of eggcup bouquets displayed on cake stands. Choose small-budded flowers in similar hues, such as the tulips, lily of the valley, paperwhites, and daffodils. Trim the stems so the blossoms will peek over the rims of the eggcups. Place a small round metal floral frog in each eggcup to help shape and weight the arrangements. Fill the cups three-quarters of the way with water, and then add the blooms. Arrange the mini bouquets on and around stands. You can then let the guests take the mini bouquets home for a favor and centerpiece all in one!

Love is Growing!

The Tie That Binds creates unique wedding favors for any wedding. I really like this design for a country themed wedding. The label has a rustic feel that would go well with a fall wedding as well. The wording is beautiful and perfect for a wedding. “One does not fall in or out of love, one Grows in love.” Isn’t it breathtaking? Ahhh…

Candyland Centerpiece

kids candy

Decorations for the kids tables are often hard to find. You can not have something breakable. Also, you probably do not want to spend a ton of money on a flower centerpiece from your florist, since the children will not even care what they look like.  One option is to make a colorful centerpiece out of candy. The kids are sure to LOVE this centerpiece. Plus, it can serve as their favor as well. Dylan Lauren, owner of confection megastore Dylan’s Candy Barmade made this sweet centerpiece. To create this look simply fill plant pots with Conversation Hearts, jelly beans, rock candy and Red Hots and nest lollipops in the mix. It’s beautiful and a sure fire hit with the kids!

Yumm… A Midnight Snack

midnight snack

I was browsing the Hostess with the Mostess blog and strolled across this uber cute idea. If you are having a late reception, why not send your guests home with a little midnight snack. A night of dancing can definitely leave you feeling a little snacky. That’s why I love this cute little set of doughnuts and milk. Your guests will love this sweet goodbye! I am sure they will really appreciate getting something yummy in their bellies too. Not to mention, it is soooo cute!!!!

To Good Fortune

fortune cookies

Here is a super cute idea from Martha Stewart.com. These are felt fortune cookies that hold a special not a a little treat for your guests. This would make a great favor idea. You can add a special thank you note to on the strip of paper and a special treat inside. These would be really cute for a shower, wedding, or even bachelorette party. Simply change the wording on the strips of paper to meet the needs of the event. For the wedding shower you could have the cookies filled with fun facts about the bride and groom. You could also make it into a game for a bachelorette party and fill the cookies with truth or dares. The options are unlimited. Be creative!

Felt Fortune Cookie How-To

1. Using fabric shears, cut a 4 1/2-inch-diameter circle from a piece of felt. Cut a piece of matching ribbon slightly shorter than 4 1/2 inches. Using wire cutters, cut a piece of floral wire slightly shorter than the length of ribbon.

2. Using craft glue, affix the wire to the middle of the felt circle. Glue ribbon on top, covering the wire. Let dry 30 minutes.

3. Fold the felt circle in half, using the wire as a guide, so ribbon is inside cookie. Next, angle the sides toward each other, bending the wire at its halfway point and forming a fortune-cookie shape, as shown.

4. Assemble the fortune cookies. Carefully peel back one flap of the felt cookie, and insert a paper fortune and a few candies. Fold the flap back over to close cookie around contents.

Pretty ‘n Pink

Pink and black make a beautiful combination. Especially when they combined with the polka-dots! I love the details in the tie and the cake. This makes for a very modern look.  I also like the small details such as the coffee beans with the flowers. Coffee beans make a great filler for flowers and plus they smell really good.
