A towel cake is a fun and simple centerpiece idea for any bridal shower. This is a great table decoration that the bride can actually use again. This design is sure to be the hit of the party!

Sandsational Cake!
Having a beach themed wedding? Then this cake is perfect for you! I love how this simple design is made into a beach themed wonder. The design on the cake is reminiscent of waves, while the seashells add the beach aura. My favorite part, however, is the brown sugar that surrounds the cake to give the appearance of sand. The little couple is pretty cute as well. Don’t you think?

The Luck of the Irsh~St. Patrick’s Day Themed Wedding
Put a new spin on a St. Patrick’s Day themed wedding with beautiful greenery. Green orchids with slight hints of pink embellish centerpieces, bouquet, and the seating card table. The ring bearer pillow is beautiful beyond belief and the cake adds a touch of elegance to the whole theme. Add a touch of whimsy to the wedding by adding napkins that say, “It was not my lips you kissed but my soul.” This napkin portrays the perfect inspiration for the whole wedding. Place a wishing well out for your guests to write beautiful notes to the wedding couple instead of a traditional guestbook and you have a subtle yet simply elegant St. Patrick’s Day themed wedding.
I Picked My Wedding Cake!
For those of you who don’t know I will be getting married in December and I am super excited to tell you that I have picked the design of my cake! That was one of the hardest things for me to pick. I wanted something that was elegant but had a little whimsy. I think this will do the trick!Since we are having a kind-of heavy dinner the cake flavors will be lighter. The bottom layer will be vanilla with raspberry buttercream and the top two layers will be lemon with strawberry buttercream and strawberry jam. We went with jam since good strawberries are hard to find in December. Keep in mind that our colors are apple red, white, and black. So the top of the cake will have a pile of red roses on top. I am so excited!!!!Bella Luna
Trend Alert~Vows on Your Cake!
This year Brides are branching out and finding fun and unique ways to personalize their weddings. One really popular idea this year is to write your vows on your wedding cake. I have seen this done in a few different ways. Some people choose a choice word or two that signifies their wedding, while others go all out and have all of their vows written on their cakes. If this sounds like a good idea, I would defiantly find a cake designer that has done this thing before or that you really trust. This will keep things safe; because this design when done well is simply breathtaking. However, it can end up looking just messy if it is not done right. Pic
Beautiful Cake Idea
Wedding Channel.Com has this beautiful cake pictured under their traditional cake section. However, this cake is anything but traditional. The beautiful coloring of the frosting and the small piped details make this cake one of extravagance. Adorned with cabbage roses, this cake is simple beautiful. I believe this would be a fabulous option for any wedding.
Turtle Brownie Wedding Cake
Not a fan of cake? Then why not serve brownies at your wedding instead! Pictured above is five tiers of dense double-chocolate brownies are glazed with caramel and trimmed with candied pecans. An acrylic pole keeps the tiers aligned; pieces of acrylic tubing slipped over the pole separate the tiers. Vanilla ice cream is served alongside. Use a custom-designed acrylic cake stand to support the brownie tiers.
Fall Wedding Cake
I have a theme today if you could not tell. J I guess fall is quickly approaching and I love the beautiful colors that it brings. For those of you who are having a fall themed wedding I congratulate you because it has to be one of the prettiest color pallets of any season. However, it is sometimes hard to find a cake that keeps the theme and is not too fallish. I think this cake does the trick. The detailing is simply gorgeous and the touch of fall leaves finishes off the cake. Source
Groom’s Cake
A groom’s cake has its roots in the South, and although it used to be viewed as an added and unnecessary expense, this once-neglected cake has been making a huge comeback. Intended to be a gift from the bride to the groom, the groom’s cake is usually dark (often chocolate or liquor-soaked) and designed with a nod towards what’s traditionally considered “masculine” (i.e., no rosettes in sight). Although you do not need a groom’s cake, you just may want one. The groom’s cake can serve many purposes, from dessert at the rehearsal dinner, to an alternative choice to the bride’s cake at the wedding. It’s customary for the groom’s cake to be displayed next to the bride’s cake, and later cut and put into boxes for guests to take home. And believe it or not, legend has it that single women are supposed to sleep with a slice under their pillow the same night they receive it — and if they do, they will dream of their future husband. Boxed slices of groom’s cake can also serve as your wedding favors. If you go this route, take advantage of the opportunity to get creative with the packaging — an additional way to reflect your bridal style. A current creative trend in groom’s cakes is to have the cake reflect the groom’s interests and hobbies. For instance, a recent groom’s cake we loved was in the shape of a skyscraper – the perfect choice for the groom, who was in
