Here is a brilliant idea! Instead of the traditional bouquets, ditch them altogether and have your bridesmaids carry fun parasols down the isle. You can save the traditional bouquet for yourself or join your bridesmaids in carrying a parasol of your own. There is a plethora of styles out there to choose from and this will add a bit of uniqueness to your wedding. This idea works best for an outside wedding with a more casual feel. This idea would probably not work as well in a cathedral. So keep your venue in mind when opting for this fun and unique idea!

Trend Alert~ Fruit!

The newest trend in the wedding scene is adding fruit to your centerpieces. Fruit is added to give a little spice to a traditional flower centerpiece. Fruit can go solo, piled high in hurricanes or decorative bowels, and make a stunning impression. It is also a great addition to centerpieces because of the wonderful colors available. Kiwi and lemons are a favorite among florists and deservedly so! They are beautiful to look at. When adding fruit to a centerpiece, keep in mind which fruit is in season for your wedding. You will want fruit that is in season so that is will be in its most beautiful state. It’s sometimes hard to find good fruit when it’s out of season.

Perfect Purple Inspiration

Purple is no newbie to wedding colors. (But it did get a revamp when Pantone named Orchid the color of the year!) Its a mature, romantic color that still brings a pop to your big day. If you’re planning a wedding, especially a Spring or Summer ceremony, consider using purple as your theme. Its a lovely way to bring freshness to the decor!

Who would have thought that paper bags could be so beautiful? Martha Stewart that’s who and she is totally right! Vases of varying sizes, shapes, and materials can be unified with mere paper bags to serve as fresh, bright centerpieces at a casual wedding. Slip the plain white lunch bags over the containers and cinch the tops loosely with ribbons tied in bows. This centerpiece idea is perfect for a garden themed wedding or a beautiful bridal luncheon.

Put a new spin on a St. Patrick’s Day themed wedding with beautiful greenery. Green orchids with slight hints of pink embellish centerpieces, bouquet, and the seating card table. I’ll admit, orchids can be a bit pricey. However, if you are looking for a one of a kind look then this flower may be worth stretching your budget a bit. Orchids have a beautiful look that is unprecedented. This centerpiece option is a perfect example. This simple look is made by arranging one large vase filled with orchids in the middle of three smaller vases. The smaller vases contain orchids in the bottom and are filled with water and a floating candle to create a magnificent glow. Repurpose Your Bouquets!

If you are looking for a way to save money on your flowers for the reception, here is a great idea. Instead of buying flowers especially for the bride and grooms table repurpose the bouquets from the wedding. Have vases set out along the table and place the bridesmaids’ bouquets and your wedding bouquet in the vases. Decorate in-between the vases with tons of votive candles. Another option is to pile all of the bridesmaids’ bouquets in the middle of the table and place your on top. It will become a beautiful mound of flowers. You would also surround these with votives, to make it blend with the rest of the decorations. This is a great way to repurpose your bouquets and get your money’s worth!
